With the current medical crisis facing the UK, taking all reasonable precautions to keep everyone safe is more important now than ever before.
A wide range of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is now being utilised across a variety of sectors as businesses work to find a way to provide their usual high levels of service without compromising the health and safety of either staff or customers.
How Do Face Shields Help?
Plastic face shields have provided crucial levels of protection for hospital workers for many years. However, because of the spread of the coronavirus, and in particular the spread within the UK’s care homes, the need for plastic face shields is far more widespread than ever before.
Offering more effective protection against the coronavirus when compared to face masks, one cough simulation study in 2014 suggested that a shield could reduce a person’s viral exposure to a cough expelled less than 18 inches away by 96%.

How Did We Help?
We contacted local care homes and arranged to donate face shields to them with the help of our amazing customers through a couple of different options:
- Simply clicking here and donating a face shield (each face shield costs £2.00, the minimum donation is £2.00, the maximum is up to you). We’ll arrange for the face shield to be delivered.
- We’ll donate a face shield for every £100 spent on our COVID-19 Safety Signage and Protection Screens.
