Environmental Policy

WF Glazing Protection Ltd recognises that all organisations impact on the environment in a variety of different ways. As such we are committed to the continual improvement of our environmental performance in relation to our services, products and operations. This includes the installation of window film and window graphics products.

We have identified the following key environmental impacts associated with our organisational activities outlined above:

• Consumption of Fuel and other resources
• Waste Disposal

The organisation is committed to reducing these impacts and to the continual improvement of our environmental performance. To help achieve this WF Glazing Protection Ltd are working towards 'Investors in the Environment' Green Accreditation.

We are committed to working with our employees, customers, suppliers, investors, contractors and regulatory bodies to achieve the following objectives:

• Meet and where possible exceed all environmental legislation and other requirements applicable to our organisation and its activities,
• Increase cost-effectiveness by reducing our consumption of fuel and raw materials,
• Reduce waste and pollution,
• Systematically assess all aspects of our company,
• Set targets for measurable annual improvements,
• Make our progress available for independent assessment.
• It is the responsibility of all employees and contractors to fully support this policy through active participation and co-operation.

This environmental policy will be displayed at all times and is openly available to all members of the public via our website - www.wfprotection.co.uk

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Minimising waste by reusing or recycling as much as possible.
  
• Minimising energy consumption and waste on operation sites in order to conserve supplies and reduce both the company and client’s consumption of natural resources. This may include but is not limited to:
• Maximising material usage from each roll
• Avoid switching on lights during the day time
• Avoid switching on unnecessary appliances such as fans / air-conditioning, etc
• Avoid emptying water bottles with unused water between jobs.
• Dispose of waste material and packaging in accordance with the site recycling policy.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles legally with regular servicing and due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical. This may include but is not limited to:
  • Travel planning to avoid taking longer routes than necessary
  • Encourage the sharing of transport for installers
  • Deploy surveyors and installers to sites local to them as is practically possible
  • Encourage the use of blue-engines and diesels to minimise fuel usage.

Procurement:

Our goal is to channel our sustainable environmental commitment through our supply chain and to reduce any negative impacts of the business.
The objective is to ensure that products and services purchased or contracted will conform to WF Glazing Protection Ltd's Environmental Policy.  WF Glazing Protection Ltd will strive, where feasible, to purchase environmentally preferable products and operations that meet the organisation’s needs.

Where possible, purchasing shall:

• Take into account the need to minimise emissions and reduce the negative impacts of transportation.
• Utilise suppliers with sustainable active commitments to the environment such as the 3M Company and Saint Gobain SolarGard.
• Utilise recycled printer paper or FSC approved paper. 

The introduction and implementation of this policy is a commitment of WF Glazing Protection Ltd management and a shared responsibility with our employees and contractors.  Dave Faulconbridge has designated responsibility for day-to-day implementation of this policy.  The policy will be reviewed annually as part of the organisation’s overall environment management plan.
